A Hertiage of Hospitality
In the Emirates, coffee (gahwa) is the language of welcome. Poured from a long-spouted dallah, spiced with cardamom and saffron, it has greeted travellers crossing the desert for centuries. The Coffee Merchant carries that ritual forward: sourcing the world's finest beans and roasting them in Dubai, where the trade winds have always met.

FRESH, ORGANIC GOODNESS
Sourced high, picked ripe, roasted with intent
Great coffee begins long before the roast. We partner directly with farmers working volcanic slopes between 1,400 and 2,200 metres, where cool nights slow the cherry and concentrate its sweetness. Only fully ripe lots make the journey to our Dubai roastery.

We obsess over the machine,so you taste the bean
Great coffee is decided long before it reaches your cup. We take roasting seriously - investing in some of the most respected machines in speciality coffee, calibrated daily and run by hand, so the character we source survives all the way to the last sip.
Stronghold S9X
Profile roasting, perfected. Our smart roaster reads and holds every degree of the curve, so each 90+ lot lands exactly where its flavour peaks - batch after batch.
Kees van der Westen Spirit
Hand-built in the Netherlands, the Spirit Duette is a temperature-stable workhorse - the still, steady heart behind every shot we pour at the cafe.
Dialled In, By Hand
Pressure you can read on the dial and taste in the cup. Every shot is dosed, timed and weighed by a barista watching the gauge - never the clock.
